What Makes Invisalign Different?
Invisalign does away with the unsightly and uncomfortable metal brackets and wires associated with traditional orthodontics. Instead, Invisalign uses a series of nearly invisible clear aligners that gradually straighten your teeth.
About every two weeks, you switch to the next aligner in a series of numbered trays. Treatment generally takes 12 to 18 months.
Each aligner is carefully designed to make contact with each tooth. The aligners themselves are made out of a patented material called SmartTrack® that provides improved control over the movement of the teeth. For our Bloomington-area patients, this means greater predictability and faster treatment.
Invisalign Improves Your Experience By Providing
Comfort
Braces with their metal wires and brackets are notorious for being uncomfortable. Each Invisalign aligner is made of smooth, medical-grade plastic molded to fit precisely over your teeth. There's nothing to irritate the soft tissue in your mouth.
Discretion
One of the most obvious benefits of a clear aligner is that it is nearly invisible in your mouth, a boon to both teens and adults looking to improve their smile without having to endure uncomfortable stares or unfortunate selfies.
Flexible Diets
Popcorn and caramels are back on the menu, along with apples and carrots. Because aligner trays are removable, you can eat your favorite foods without worry.
Lifestyle Freedom
Contact sports are a concern when wearing braces since you run the risk of cutting the inside of your mouth on the brackets and wires. If you lead an active lifestyle, aligners with their snug fit and smooth surface can be a safer option.
Invisalign Treatment
A Discreet Alternative to Traditional Braces
Traditional braces are noticeable, which is a drawback for many teens and adults; however, there is a less visible way to straighten your teeth: clear aligners from Invisalign.
Teen and adult patients appreciate how subtle the clear aligners are, giving them a discreet way to straighten their teeth. Aligners can also be taken out when eating, which means that you don't have to adjust your diet during orthodontic treatment. Additionally, if you feel discomfort, you can take a small break from wearing your clear aligners, which you cannot do with traditional braces.
Orthodontists have determined that Invisalign aligners are best at correcting minor cosmetic issues, so if you have severe misalignment or bite problems, you may be a better candidate for traditional braces.

How Much Does Invisalign Cost?
$3,500 to $5,700
At our practice, the cost of Invisalign generally ranges from $3,500 to $5,700. Of course, each patient's case is unique, and the price will depend on how much correction is needed and other factors unique to your smile.
If you need Invisalign attachments — and our patients often do — then this can impact your final price. However, Invisalign is a great investment in your confidence — and with proper retainer wearing, the results can last for a lifetime.
